A little about me:
Introduction | My name is April and I am the Lead Nurse, Cosmetic Nurse Injector and Owner of Mudita Medical Aesthetics.
Background | I have been a Nurse for 15 years with a wide variety of nursing experience in Mental Health, Public Health, Occupational Health and Infection Control. I have always had an interest in Aesthetic Medicine and finally took the leap after my most recent maternity leave to follow my heart for this next chapter of my nursing career. I trained in cosmetic injectables at the International Institute of Aesthetic Medicine in Barrie, ON as well as further trainings and 1:1 mentorship at Up North Beauty and Wellness Clinic in Bancroft, The Beauty Development Aesthetics and Wellness Clinic in Kingston, and Cyr Aesthetics in Petawawa. I have continued my ongoing education throughout the last year taking various courses through THMA, and attended in-person trainings offered by Merz, Clarion, and Prollenium specific to some of the products I use in clinic. I am dedicated to ongoing education, training and mentorships in order to stay up-to-date on the newest treatments, practice guidelines and safety measures.
Balance and Happiness | Outside of work I love to spend time with my spouse, our two beautiful babies and our 4 year old Akita Shepard! We enjoy being outside as much as possible and embarking on adventures together when life allows it. We feel incredibly lucky to have relocated to such a beautiful part of the province and can’t see ourselves anywhere else. Recognizing the importance of putting a focus on our own mental health and wellness, I make sure to spend time connecting with friends and family and trying to maintain a healthy balance of work and play.
Treatments | Combining my in-depth knowledge of Facial Anatomy and Injection Techniques, Clinical Training and my Compassionate Approach I hope to make you feel confident, comfortable and excited about your treatment. We will complete a thorough consultation and discuss in detail your areas of concern, and together we will build a focused treatment plan for the most natural, beautiful results!
I am currently completing a Cosmetic Dermatology Course through the Canadian Board of Aesthetics Medicine and also offer a variety of Skin Health and Wellness Treatments.

Meet our AOA:
Nurse Practitioner Kim graduated from Laurentian University with her BScN in 2011. She then completed her Masters in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certificate from Athabasca University in 2022. Her background includes primary care, acute care, palliative care, and most recently medical aesthetics. She completed her basics and advanced medical aesthetics trainings through the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics in 2022. Shortly after she founded Uplifted Medical, located just outside the Ottawa Valley, in Smiths Falls, ON.
Kim has a great deal of expertise with therapeutic uses of botulinum toxin, with her special interest in the treatment of chronic migraines and ailments. She is committed to providing safe and comprehensive medical aesthetic care.
As a client at Mudita Medical Aesthetics, you will meet with Kim virtually as a part of your in-depth consultation and have the opportunity to discuss the proposed treatment plans with her. She can also help to answer any outstanding questions you may have before we go ahead. This consultation will be required as a first-time client, any new medical services we are proposing, and will be reviewed annually.
Together we will ensure that you feel well informed and comfortable before we proceed with any service.
